以下有些她的介紹:
1959年1月16日出生奈及利亞的Sade，4歲時隨母親舉家遷往英國。80年代初期在聖馬丁藝術學校(St. Martin's School Of Art)的求學期間，Sade組成生平的第一個樂團Arriva並嘗試填詞譜曲，Smooth Operator就是這個時期的作品。而後，她又加入一支八人樂團Pride，但因為唱片公司不看好他們，Sade於是退出Pride另組一支個人樂隊，在經紀人Lee Barrett的策劃宣傳之下，許多唱片公司都表示高度合作的意願。最後在1984年1月Sade和CBS簽下一紙合約。
1984年2月這位氣質優雅、學藝術出身的美麗女子，以她的啼聲之作Your Love Is King引起全球歌迷的注意與喜愛，這首單曲登上英國排行榜第6名，而Sade的輝煌故事從此展開。同年，Sade推出處女作Diamond Life（鑽石生活），分別獲BPI獎「最佳英國團輯」與葛萊美獎「最佳新進藝人」的肯定，而這張專輯在英國排行榜的停留時間更達 98 週之久，其中一首Smooth Operator躋進全美流行榜Top 5。
Sade的第二張專輯Promise（承諾）甫進英國榜即登上冠軍，The Sweetest Taboo、Never As Good As The First Time等單曲亦暢銷一時。1988年，Sade的第三張專輯Stronger Than Pride（愛情至上）問世，Love Is Stronger Than Pride、Paradise等歌曲都頗受歡迎。同時，她巡迴世界各地舉辦演唱會的門票也皆銷售一空。而後，Sade於1989年2月10日下嫁西班牙MTV導演Carlos Scola，定居於馬德里城外的Vinuelas城堡。
不過這對才子佳人的婚姻卻以仳離收場，而Sade也回到倫敦，成立自己的錄音室，並推出睽違四年之久的專輯Love Deluxe，其中的No Ordinary Love獲選成為電影「桃色交易」( Indecent Proposal )的插曲。1994年時Sade推出了首張精選輯The Best Of Sade，至此她全球銷售量已突破4千萬張了！
自進入歌壇以來，Sade的作品屢屢獲得樂評及輿論的肯定，唱片總銷售量也累積至逾4500萬張，躋身國際級藝人之列。在2000年年底推出了睽違8年的第6張專輯Lovers Rock（情人寶石），Sade仍以一貫耐人尋味的氣質與特色以及輯製作人Mike Pela再度全體集合，更讓擁有多年累積而來之完美默契的他們，盡情展露其多年來的成長。剝除所有的贅飾，用最簡單的元素：旋律、聲音以及精準的樂器編排，再次深深打動所有樂迷的心。
